The mainstream media refuses to cover the resume robbery of engineers with a btech degree, yet provides detailed information on the various animals and reptiles which are seized.
Green iguanas are sometimes mentioned as being seized, especially from passengers flying from thailand to mumbai or chennai.
It appears that green iguanas were imported mainly for breeding purposes.
According to a mainstream media report, the green iguanas were earlier quite expensive costing Rs 40000 each.
Now after breeding, the supply of green iguanas has increased and they are being sold for Rs 4000 each.
